FAQs

What are the staffing and quality standards for the Centers?

The Family Centers are administered by a highly qualified group of educators. The staff members are carefully selected based on their experience, education, talents and interpersonal skills.

The Central Florida YMCA provides many opportunities for development and advancement through staff training. All teachers and co-teachers are state certified and receive at least 45  initial hours of training and 10 supplemental hours each year. All staff go through a national background check and are trained in CPR and first aid.

The CFYMCA Family Centers are licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Family Services. The Family Centers use standards set by licensing agencies and accrediting organizations, and guidelines established by the YMCA and national educational organizations to monitor program quality.
